Statement on the hypocrisy of Armenian diplomacy

“Armenian Foreign Ministry continues to hinder the establishment of peace between the two countries. The Armenian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, who accused Azerbaijan of “ethnic cleansing”, has called on UNESCO to send its mission to Karabakh regarding the “Armenian cultural heritage.

First off all, we would like to emphasize that it was Armenia that has destroyed and desecrated the cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people in the occupied lands for almost 30 years, and prevented sending the UNESCO mission to these areas.

UNESCO fact-finding mission must be sent to Armenia in order to monitor the rich centuries-old cultural heritage of the Azerbaijan people. The Western Azerbaijan Community has repeatedly raised this issue. However, Armenia not only impedes dispatching the UNESCO mission, but also denies the existence of the cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people. Armenian diplomacy must stop hypocrisy and destructive activity”
