Western Azerbaijan Community

Recently, a number of Western circles, including the EU Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar, have intensified contacts with elements trying to revive separatist tendencies that have been consigned to the dustbin of history. According to information that has spread, former Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan recently held meetings with Toivo Klaar and some other representatives of Western circles. Let us recall that Oskanyan chairs a certain “commission” created by the non-existent “parliament” of the fictitious “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” to carry out activities against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Contacts between Western circles and Oskanyan and others like him, which are a clear example of political hypocrisy, serve to create a new source of anti-Azerbaijani tension.

How is it that Toivo Klaar avoids contacts with the West Azerbaijan Community, which does not oppose the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia, but meets with the populist Vardan Oskanyan, who openly threatened the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, is the Khojaly murderer, was the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of the racist Robert Kocharyan and is completely out of touch with reality?

The fact that Toivo Klaar and others deny the right of return of West Azerbaijanis, referring this right only to Armenians, proves that those who talk day and night about “democracy” and “human rights” actually approach the issues from the point of view of religious and ethnic fanaticism.

Judging by the fact that fictitious “structures” with a militaristic agenda, a certain “commission” headed by the likes of Vardan Oskanyan, are quietly functioning on the territory of Armenia, this rapidly arming country is not interested in peace with Azerbaijan and acts from a position of revanchism.

Armenia must stop talking about peace and in fact refuse contacts with such elements as Ocampo and Oskanyan, and a course aimed at escalating the situation.
