Western Azerbaijan Community

Administration – A structure within the Western Azerbaijan Community that ensures the implementation of the authority derived from the Council’s Regulations, as well as an institution that implements organizational, legal and analytical-information provision of the community’s activities. Administration consists of one division, two sectors, a chief adviser, coordinators, and a technical team, totaling 35 employees. The head of the Administration is Galib Gasimov.

Galib Ahmed oghlu Gasimov (31 March 1978, Western Azerbaijan, Basarkechar, Zod) – Former sector director of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2006–2021), Director of the Azerbaijan State Art Gallery (2017–2022), founder and director of “Contemporary Baku” Company (2022-present), founder of “Auction Baku,” Doctor of Philosophy in Art History.

Department of Public Relations of Western Azerbaijan Community and Western Azerbaijan Television – the department defines the media policy of the Community, organizes the coverage of materials related to the right of return of our compatriots in local and foreign media, interviews of the leadership and members of the Community, the Press Secretary to local and foreign media, as well as the work of Western Azerbaijan Television.

Ulviyya Zulfikar gizi Aliyeva (Ulviyya Zulfikar) - Head of the Public Relations of Western Azerbaijan Community and Western Azerbaijan Television department - Press Secretary (November 30, 1983, Homeland: Western Azerbaijan - Iravan city) Graduated from the Faculty of International Relations of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Bachelor , master). From 2006 to 2021 she worked in various positions in the Political Analysis Department of Azad Azerbaijan Television (ATV), in 2021-2024 worked as the editor-in-chief at News.az international news agency which broadcast the news in English language. Since October 2022, she has worked as the Press Secretary of the Western Azerbaijan Community. Since June 1, 2024, she has been appointed as the head of the Public Relations of Western Azerbaijan Community and Western Azerbaijan Television department, continuing her work both as the press secretary and as the head of the Western Azerbaijan Television. She speaks English, Russian, Spanish and has a number of local and foreign certificates. A certificate from the well-known Harvard University is among them.
