The statement by the US Embassy about the early presidential elections held on February 7 is a manifestation of disrespect for the will of the Azerbaijani people and rudeness, contrary to elementary diplomatic ethics.
Today’s statement by a country that has never condemned the 30-year Armenian occupation, ethnic cleansing, a statement voiced by the Minister of Defense in the government of “democrat” Nikol Pashinyan, the “brilliant commander” David Tonoyan in Washington with threats against Azerbaijan about a “new war for new territory" and also did not mention the right of return of Western Azerbaijanis, sounds extremely ridiculous.
If American diplomats attach such importance to OSCE recommendations, we urge them to first familiarize themselves with the recommendations of the same OSCE regarding the presidential elections that took place in the United States in November 2020. The report highlights that recommendations included in previous OSCE reports have not been implemented. We call on American diplomats to refrain from hypocrisy
