Racist and corrupt US Congressman Frank Pallone is trying to distort the legitimate and peaceful public protest against him during his visit to Azerbaijan to participate in COP29 and slander our country.

First of all, it should be noted that F. Pallone has been systematically working against Azerbaijan and the establishment of peace in the region for decades, establishing non-transparent relations with the Armenian lobby. He supported the military aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan, crimes against Azerbaijanis such as ethnic cleansing, genocide, massacres, destruction of cultural heritage, and also carried out a policy of ethnic and religious hatred against Azerbaijanis.

For this reason, it is the most fundamental right of the Azerbaijani public, in particular those who were subjected to ethnic cleansing in Armenia, to protest against the racist F. Pallone. However, instead of appearing before the peaceful demonstrators, apologizing to them and answering their questions, he sent his bodyguards to peaceful demonstrators, including women, who injured them.

F. Pallone's statements after the visit clearly show that he did not come to Azerbaijan to participate in the climate change conference or for the purpose of dialogue. His goal was to denigrate the success of COP29, which is taking place in Azerbaijan and which brought together all the countries of the world, and to harm Azerbaijan.

It is appropriate to emphasize once again that the Azerbaijani state and society have always been supporters of dialogue. F. Pallone and some racist politicians like him, on the contrary, have always avoided dialogue and preferred the policy of slander and blackmail.

The Western Azerbaijan Community strongly condemns F. Pallone's cheap show and the Azerbaijanophobic tendencies that have taken root in some Western circles due to his example, and demands that these politicians not hinder the establishment of peace in the region, respecting the right of return of Azerbaijanis forcibly expelled from Armenia
