08 May 2024, 10:53

A historic achievement was achieved in a court case related to the Western Azerbaijan issue.

At the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held on May 4-5, 2024 in Banjul (Gambia), 57 member states of the organization expressed concern about the fate of Azerbaijanis forcibly expelled from Armenia and expressed support for their peaceful return to their homeland with dignity. In addition, the heads of state and government strongly condemned the insult and destruction of Muslim cultural heritage in Armenia.

The Western Azerbaijan Community sincerely welcomes this decision of the OIC summit. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation became the first international organization to express support for the return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia.

The Western Azerbaijan Community expressed confidence that the organization's unequivocal support for a just solution to the West Azerbaijan issue will contribute to the peaceful return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia to their homes.
