The Western Azerbaijan Community expresses deep concern over the visit of the President of Poland to the conditional border between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
We have repeatedly emphasized that most of the territories patrolled by the EU mission in Armenia are the historical homeland of West Azerbaijanis, from where they have been repeatedly deported and which have been destroyed and devastated. Unfortunately, our appeals to the European Union in this regard remain unanswered.
We remind the President of Poland, who said: “We would like Armenians to live peacefully on their land within clearly defined borders,” that we have not witnessed such statements by Poland regarding Azerbaijan when the Azerbaijani territories were under occupation.
As for the statement by the President of Poland that his country “can be more actively involved in the settlement of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” we inform you that official Warsaw itself has enough problems with its neighbors, and it would be more logical for Poland to deal with its own problems.
We call on Poland not to take steps that will aggravate the situation in the South Caucasus. And Armenia must understand that it is impossible to achieve peace in the South Caucasus with the help of cheap shows like “binocular diplomacy” and looking at adventurers like Luis Ocampo, Greta Thunberg as “new saviors”
